Everything you need to know about DiabloFilter, from getting started with loot filters to becoming a verified creator.
DiabloFilter is a community-driven platform for creating, sharing, and discovering loot filters for Diablo games. Loot filters help you automatically highlight, hide, or organize items based on rarity, stats, and other criteria - so you spend less time sorting through drops and more time playing.
DiabloFilter currently supports Diablo 4 and Diablo 2: Resurrected (D2R). We plan to expand support as new Diablo games and expansions are released.
You can browse and download filters without an account. However, creating an account allows you to create and share your own filters, and subscribe to filters.
Yes! DiabloFilter is completely free. Browsing, downloading, creating, and sharing filters costs nothing. We are supported by the community and may introduce optional premium features in the future, but core functionality will always remain free.
A loot filter is a set of rules that tells the game how to display items that drop on the ground. Good loot filters highlight valuable items (like Ancestral or Unique gear) and dim or hide common items you don't need, dramatically speeding up your gameplay loop.
Once you find a filter you like on DiabloFilter, click the "Copy" button to copy the filter code to your clipboard. Then paste it into your game's loot filter import menu. The filter will be applied immediately.
In Diablo 4, you can have multiple filters saved but only one can be active at a time. Many players keep different filters for different activities - one for leveling, one for endgame farming, and one for specific item hunting.
A well-made loot filter won't hide items you need, it will highlight them. Most filters are designed to show all Unique, Legendary, and high-value items while reducing clutter from whites and blues. Every filter page on DiabloFilter shows a full rule breakdown including which item types, rarities, and affixes the filter targets, so you can always check exactly what a filter does before importing it.
Log into your account and click "Create Filter" from your dashboard. You'll be taken to our filter editor where you can paste your filter code, add a title, description, choose a class, and set visibility. Once you're happy with it, publish it for the community to use.
Absolutely. You can edit your filters at any time from your dashboard. Updates are applied immediately, and anyone who has subscribed to your filter will see the latest version.
A great filter description explains: what the filter is designed for (leveling, endgame, specific builds), what it highlights vs. hides, what class or playstyle it targets, and any special instructions. Detailed descriptions help users find the right filter and build trust in your work.
Yes. When creating or editing a filter, you can set its visibility to "Private" so only you can see it. There is also an "Unlisted" option, which means the filter won't appear in browse results but anyone with the direct link can view it - great for sharing with friends or a specific community. This is useful for work-in-progress filters, personal configurations, or limited distribution.
The DiabloFilter Creator Program is for verified content creators - streamers, YouTubers, and community figures. Verified creators get a special badge on their profile, higher visibility in search results, and access to advanced analytics for their filters.
Go to your Dashboard and click "Apply for Verification." You can verify through Twitch or YouTube. We simply verify that you are an active content creator - there is no minimum follower or subscriber requirement. Creators of all sizes are welcome.
Verified creators receive a badge next to their name, priority placement in browse results, analytics on downloads and subscriptions, and the ability to write and publish guides.
The Featured Streamer spotlight highlights an approved Diablo content creator who is currently live on Twitch. It appears in the sidebar across the site, giving viewers a quick way to discover active streamers in the community.
Verified creators can apply for the Featured Streamer program through a separate application process. Once approved, you will receive specific instructions on your Partner Assets page explaining how to set up your stream to be featured. When you go live streaming a supported Diablo game, our system detects it and features you in the sidebar for all users to see.
The featured streamer rotates automatically among approved Featured Streamer partners who are currently live and streaming a supported Diablo game. The selection updates periodically so that multiple creators get exposure throughout the day.
Our guides section covers a range of Diablo topics including game mechanics deep-dives, gear comparison strategies, class-specific tips, leveling guides, and loot filter creation tutorials. Guides are written by verified creators and community experts.
Verified creators can submit guides for review. Once you are verified, go to the Guides section and click "Write a Guide." Your guide will be reviewed by our team before being published to ensure quality and accuracy.
